Sunday Afternoons at the Eastport Arts Center: Tom Sexton   On Sunday, January 18th at 3pm, former Poet Laureate of Alaska, Tom Sexton will present his poetry as part of the Sunday Afternoon series at the Eastport Arts Center. Sexton is the former editor of the Alaska Quarterly Review and the author of ten books of poetry. The presentation will include reading and discussing a selections of new and old poems he has written, including some on Eastport. Tom spends every other winter in Eastport with his wife Sharyn.   Sunday Afternoons at The Arts Center is a weekly series of featuring presentations on a variety of subjects. Each cultural event runs approximately an hour in length, and is presented in a casual and interactive setting. Questions and discussion are always encouraged, and light refreshments are provided. Admission is by donation and programs will take place at 3pm every Sunday (weather permitting) from January 11 through April 19 at the Continue Reading
