Thursday, April 30th, 2009We wanted to keep everyone informed of the updates and changes that will be coming to Calais Events.com over the next little while. To be more interactive for the community we have now added a news section that can be found in the secondary navigation. This won’t be traditional news but Service Announcements from Calais Events.com and news submitted by the people of Calais.
We would like to start posting things like wedding announcements, special occasion’s, new store opening or even an upcoming sale etc. which will be found under the news section of the website. We have also had quite a few requests for a Business Directory and we will be looking into options for that as well.
Just use the contact form found on http://calaisevents.com/contact/ to send in your news or comments/feedback.

Sewing Party
Sunday, April 26th, 2009The costume sewing parties have been great fun. We expect to have a small display early in May. The location will be in the DownEast Heritage Building next to the Maine Tourist Information. We will not be scheduling future parties unless you have a special request. Please contact Joan Perry @ 457-5447 if you are in need of a place to cut out your costume or do your sewing. Thankyou to all who participated and we look forward to seeing everyone in costume during the Bicenntenial Events.

Our plan is to have a display ready by the end of the month.
